Family vs Individual Spotify plans: what is the difference?
Spotify has several kinds of Premium subscription, and picking the right one can cut your cost significantly. This guide walks through the differences.
Individual
One subscription for one person. It is the simplest option and needs nothing but your account email. If you are the only listener, this is enough.
Duo
For two people living at the same address. Each person keeps their own account and playlists, but the cost per person is lower than two individual plans.
Family
Up to six people can join one Family plan, each with their own independent account. Per person, it is usually the best value.
One thing to know: Spotify may ask Family members to confirm their address. Where that applies, Spotka shows the plan address in your account.
Which should I pick?
- Listening alone and want the simplest option: Individual
- Two of you: Duo
- Lowest cost per person: Family
